Types of Membership

Ordinary Membership
               
Subject to the approval of the Management Committee, this membership is opened to former students of Serangoon English School and Serangoon Secondary School. They pay a fee of S$5.00 per annum but for administrative convenience, a fee of S$10.00 for two years’ subscription is collected every two years. Ordinary members may vote, nominate members or be elected at the Annual General Meeting.

Ordinary Life Membership

Any former student of Serangoon English School and Serangoon Secondary School may enroll as an Ordinary Life Member subject to the approval of the Management Committee. A fee of S$100.00 is payable on a one-time basis. A Life Member may vote, nominate members or be elected at the Annual General Meting.

Associate Membership

Any former teaching staff of the Serangoon English School or Serangoon Secondary School may become an Associate Member subject to the approval of the Management Committee. A fee of S$5.00 per year is payable on acceptance. Associate Members are not entitled to vote, nominate members or be elected at an Annual General Meeting.

Honorary Membership

The current Principal and members of the teaching staff of the Serangoon Secondary School may be invited to be Honorary Members. Members of theteaching staff may only become Honorary Members with the approval of the Principal. Honorary Members are not required to pay any fee for subscription or any levy but they are not allowed to vote, nominate members or hold office or have any say in the management of the Alumni.

Honorary Life Membership

The Management Committee may invite any person who, in its opinion, has rendered valuable service to the Alumni of the Serangoon English School or Serangoon Secondary School to be an Honorary Life member. Honorary Life Members are not required to pay any fee for subscription or levy but he is not allowed to to vote, nominate members or hold office or have any say in the management of the Alumni.
