Launch of SSS Scholarship


The SSS Scholarship took off on 29 January 2010. Aim of the Scholarship is basically to provide additional financial support for students going on to JCs and Polytechnics after completing their ‘O’ levels.

Recipients for the first Alumni scholarship were Mr Wong Rui Xiang and Ms Tan May Ching. Ms Ching received $1,000.00 per year for two years whilst she is studying in the JC. Mr Wong was given $1,500.00 for three years in the Polytechnic……

ALUMNI DINNER – CONNECT 2010


What a night to remember. The Alumni Connect 2010 ws held at the Imperial Court Shark’s Fin Restaurant, The Grassroots Club, Ang Mo Kio.

Attended by well over 250 people comprising alumnus their spouses, Principal, past and present, students, ex-students, friends and distinguished guests Messrs Ngiam Tong Dow, Tee Tua Ba and Ms Carla Barker, daughter of the late Mr E W Barker.

Alumni Met Graduating Students


On 28 September 2010, the Alumni spoke to graduating students from Sec 4E, 4N/T & 5N regarding joining the Alumni as Junior Members. They were told that the membership was free, but it will only be for a period of 5 years after which they have to convert their membership to either Ordinary Life or Ordinary Membership.

The offer will be made to all graduating students yearly.

Many of the students were keen to join. At the end of the day, some 210 application forms were received. They are now being processed.

Teacher's Day Dinner 2010


The Teachers' Day Dinner was held on Friday, 22 October 2010 at the Ballroom, Serangoon Garden Country Club. It was attended by the School's teaching and non-teaching staff. The Alumni's Management Committee was represented by Messrs David Loh, Sylvester Heng, David Wang and Wee Eng Huat and Ms Joyce Tham.
